Hi, I'm Moira Ballard and I absolutely love capturing everyday and special life moments through photography and video!

A little bit about me...I'm first generation American, with parents from Sierra Leone. I was born and raised in Northern Virginia and graduated from the University of Virginia. Go Wahoos!

I've been married to my best friend, Tim, since 2004, and together we have four wonderful children, who I've homeschooled since 2012!

I earned a Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Digital Production Arts from Clemson University and have worked at several video production studios in Washington, DC. I've also worked as a contracting Graphics Designer and Video Editor in the Video Production Services of the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. With the growth of my beautiful family, I began working as a freelance photographer, graphics designer, and video editor. After freelancing for over 13 years, I entered the space of entrepreneurship in creating Moments by Moira.

I live in Maryland and enjoy traveling up and down the DMV (DC, MD, VA) area to capture moments that mean the most to my clients!
